Hi, my name is Maddie Fischer

I am a junior attending Iowa State University. Currently, I am a double major in Business and Apparel Merchandising. Double majoring has proven to be an arduous task, but I am passionate about the retail industry and fashion, so it is a difficulty that is overcome by interest.

I grew up in Minnesota on a horse farm, so fashion wasn’t exactly an aspiration of mine as a child. During the summer, I spent a lot of time outside riding and taking care of our family’s horses.

A strong work ethic was required of me at a young age. I spent hours outside cleaning stalls, filling water tanks, and completing various tasks around the barn. I also got plenty of time to ride too. As much as I enjoyed my time with the horses, I always found myself more concerned with the cohesion of my equestrian apparel. This was a subconscious interest of mine, until I started to get older. I found myself getting more outside of my comfort zone with the clothes I wore to school. Slowly, I began to express myself with my outfits, and I started to enjoy standing out from my classmates by adapting early to trends that I saw online.

Once I got to college, I was drawn to the fashion program, and I had a growing interest in brands. I got involved with every fashion organization and club on campus that my schedule allowed. The more I learned, the more excited I became. My passion led me to start a blog, so that I could share my inspiration and ideas with others. Today, I continue to learn as much about the fashion industry as possible.
