Why you have to try a DIY

Why you have to try a DIY

"It is like having your very own couture"

I was browsing pintrest, when I came across a really cool pair of jeans. They were stylish and super unique. If you really love statement pieces, and you love having a one-of-a-kind item, then you must try a DIY! Here are some reasons why I believe everyone has to try a DIY.

I was nervous at first, because I am not the craftiest person in the world. It seemed unachievable for me to create something that was good enough to be worn in public. I was scared that I was gonna mess up, and that it would not turn out the way I hoped.

My only advice is that you have to give it a try! It ended up being a lot easier than I expected. You are going to mess a up; making mistakes is a given. Although I got really stressed every time I messed up, my mistakes never ended up being as bad as I thought.

Mistakes are part of your brand. When you mess up, it is a great opportunity to add a little of your own creativity. Even if you have your mind stuck on making it exactly one way, you might wind up liking more if you just go for it! So, don't be afraid to take risks.

DIY's are also relaxing. In my opinion, sitting down and working on a craft is meditative. It is a great way for me to wind down and relax, when I put my mind to a project. Plus, when you get to show all your friends something that YOU made, It feels pretty great.

I really like fashion. I can't always afford those really cool pieces from brands like TopShop and Urban Outfitters, so if you can find something at thrift store and modify it to be something that you like, its very rewarding. It is like having your very own couture. So, give it a try and DIY ;)
